An examination of digital publishing roles

In this article, Tim Oliver, comments on how, although at face-value, newsrooms look the same, besides there being more gadgets and less books and references on news desks, if one looks deeper into the roles of the editorial teams, their job description has changed immensely. Due to the fact that online media has not really brought in great amounts of profits so far, the roles of existing staff has been expanded rather than hiring digital experts.
