Organisational types of newsrooms in a media convergent environment

In this blogpost, Schantin, looks at how media convergence has brought about three different organisational processes used in news rooms today. The ?Multiple Media Newsroom? is when there is a different editorial team for each platform that a media institution has. The ?Cross Media Newsroom? is when there is one central content gathering group that shares content across all channels, however, each platform still has its own editor. Lastly, the ?Integrated Newsroom? is where there is only one news-gathering and one editorial body for all platforms and news channels in the institution.
