Mobile technologies have opened up new opportunities for marketing and media companies. A recently developed application called Aurasma allows media companies to make their product come to life. By simply activating the app and pointing your camera at an advert or the front cover of a magazine, you gain access to additional content. It is an app that I first encountered during my time at Men’s Health, which means that South African media companies have identified the opportunities that it creates.
