Mobile media presents many opportunities for journalism yet media companies have not fully grasped these, argues Vanessa Malila. The problem lies with disseminating news and information in a format that neglects the components and characteristics of mobile platforms. In order to remain relevant, media companies need to develop content for different contexts.
